Horticultural Charcoal, also known as Biochar has many benefits for gardeners. Used as a soil conditioner, Biochar helps to retain moisture in the soil while also holding and delivering nutrients to the soil.

Biochar improves drainage in soil and is ideal as a mulch or top dressing or in hanging baskets.

It can be used to help prevent stagnation in ponds.
